COVID-19 and Delaware Farmers’ Markets

Currently, the farmers’ markets in Delaware are not able to operate until the Governor’s State of Emergency is lifted, or the public health threat of COVID-19 is eliminated. We know that people are anxious to open the farmers’ markets as they are a valued part of your communities where Delawareans can access fresh fruits, vegetables, and other value-added products to feed their families.

We are encouraging agricultural producers who participate at farmers’ markets who are looking to sell their products to their valued farmers’ market customers at their farm stand or directly on the farm to add or update their listing on https://de.gov/buylocal and https://delawaregrown.com to help facilitate connections with the consumer.

Please submit the following to Kathy.Jackson@delaware.gov, including your farm name, the physical location where people can do a pick-up, the days and times you will be open, your phone number, and email that customers can reach you, your website address, Facebook link, and list of products available.
